Mammootty & Shankar Ramakrishnan With 'Kunjali Marakkar'

The curtain raiser trailer of Mammootty-Shankar Ramakrishnan team's Kunjali Marakkar is out. It is not a movie, but a light and sound show, which will be staged at the Fort St. Angelo, Kannur.

Mammootty essays and lends the voice for the legendary character, Captain Kunjali Marakkar. The curtain raiser trailer looks just brilliant, with the exceptional narration by the megastar and excellent graphic works.

The Kunjali Marakkar show is written and directed by Shankar Ramakrishnan, for the Department Of Kerala Tourism Development, by associating with the Archeological Survey Of India.

The technicalities of the show are handled by the Bangalore-based Symbolein Technologies. As per the reports, the show will be inaugurated on February 29th, on the Fort St. Angelo, Kannur.

Earlier, Mohanlal has also portrayed Captain Kunjali Marakkar, in the light and sound show conducted at the inauguration ceremony of National Games, 2015. The show was directed by TK Rajeev Kumar.

Amal Neerad, the film-maker was planning a biopic on Kunjali Marakkar, with Mammootty in the title role. The movie, which was about to be produced by Prithviraj, was shelved due to technical issues.
