Mammootty With 'Happy Wedding' Director Omar

Mammootty has always been extremely supportive towards the young blood in the industry. The megastar really loves to work with youngsters and has always stated that it is the secret of his youthfulness.

Reportedly, Mammootty is all set to join hands with yet another young director. If the reports are to be believed, he will essay the lead role in the upcoming venture of Omar, the Happy Wedding director.

Interestingly, Mammootty will be playing the role of a middle-aged goon from Kochi in the movie, which is said to be a clean comical entertainer. Sunny Wayne and Shine Tom Chacko play the key roles.

The team is expected to announce the project officially, soon. Mammootty has earlier played the role of a goon in the several films, including Martin Prakkat's directorial debut, the superhit movie Best Actor.

Mammootty's last outing, the police story Kasaba has emerged as a blockbuster, by breaking several pre-existing records of M'town. His upcoming project White, is hitting the theatres on 29th July, 2016.

Happy Wedding, which was the directorial debut of Omar, had Siju Wilson, Soubin Shahir, Sharafudeen, in the lead roles. The movie, which was a surprising hit, earned huge appreciations from all over.
