The official trailer of Marupadi, the VM Vinu directed family thriller is finally out. Marupadi, which stars Rahman and Bhama in the lead roles, is said to be based on a real incident.
The 2 minutes long official trailer is engaging and hints that the movie is an out-and-out thriller which revolves around a nuclear family. The trailer looks highly promising and raises the expectations on the movie.
According to the reports, lead actress Bhama is playing one of the strongest roles in her career, in Marupadi. The sources also suggest that the movie will also be a perfect comeback for Rahman.

Nayanthara, who rose to fame as a child artist, appears as Rahman and Bhama's daughter in the movie. Janardhanan, Tessa, Santhosh Keezhattoor, Anjali Upasana, Valsala Menon, Baby Meenakshi, etc., play the supporting roles.
It is a comeback venture for director VM Vinu, after a short hiatus. Interestingly the movie will also mark the debut of director Vinu's daughter Varsha Vinu, as a playback singer.
The movie is scripted by debutante Juliana Ashraf. Venugopal is the director of photography. M Jayachandran has composed the songs and Gopi Sundar has handled the background score.
