Mohanlal definitely has some exciting projects in his kitty. And the most promising project among the lot has to be Vellimoonga fame Jibu Jacob's next film.
According to reports, the yet to be titled film would start rolling soon. The makers are planning to start the shoot by June 20, 2016.
The untitled film has been scripted by renowned writer P Sindhuraj. The film which is said to be in the lines of a political satire is inspired from a short story named Pranayopanishad written by V J James.
More importantly, the film would mark the return of Mohanlal to a common man's role. The actor would be seen in the role of a Panchayath Seceretary. Biju Menon, who starred in Jibu Jacob's debut directorial venture Vellimoonga, would be seen playing the role of a government employee in this film.
The film would also mark the reunion of Mohanlal and Meena, after the blockbuster movie Drishyam. Meena would be seen as the leading lady of the film. The untitled film would also feature actors like Nedumudi Venu, Aju Varghese, Sudheer Karamana, Suraj Venaramoodu etc in prominent roles.
The film is being produced by Sophiya Paul under the banner of Weekend Blockbusters, who also co-produced the film Bangalore Days.
Meanwhile, Mohanlal is busy shooting for his upcoming film with Priyadarshan which has been titled as Oppam. The actor would also complete the remaining portions of his Telugu film Janatha Garage.
