Mollywood Stands Up For Jisha

Malayalam actors, including the megastar Mammootty, Manju Warrier, Kunchacko Boban, Rima Kallingal, Aashiq Abu etc expressed their deep pain over the rape-murder of Jisha, which happened in Perumbavoor last week.

The stars, who joined the 'Justice for Jisha' social media campaign, vented out their anger through their official Facebook pages. Jisha, who was an LLB student, was brutally raped and killed by an unknown person.

Mammootty, who expressed his shock through a Facebook post, stated that he is deeply ashamed like all the Malayalis, about the issue. He has requested all men, to turn heroes and protect the entire womankind; not just the family members.

Manju Warrier, who expressed her deep pain through a touching Facebook post, stated that a person who mishandles a woman cannot be called as a man. She states that such criminals, cannot even be compared to animals.

Kunchacko Boban posted a picture of Jisha on his Facebook page and stated that only strong protest can solve such issues. The star couple, Aashiq Abu and Rima Kallingal are also extremely active with the campaign.

Both Aashiq and Rima have been sharing the posts by various eminent personalities on their pages. Dulquer Salmaan shared the 'Justice for jisha' campaign's post and expressed his pain over the issue. Unni Mukundan stated that castration is the perfect punishment for such criminals.

Other popular actors, including Joy Mathew, Nivin Pauly, Aju Varghese, etc stated their support for the campaign, by sharing their thoughts through the Facebook and sharing the posts by eminent personalities.

We hope that the culprits will be arrested soon and Jisha's family will get the justice they deserve, from our judiciary and government.
