The actress is celebrating her 32nd birthday today (November 18, 2016). Over the years, she has grown in to an actress who can carry a film on her shoulders alone, much like a superstar.
Having said that, the actress originally belongs to Kerala and is a pride of God's Own Country. It was through Sathyan Anthikkad's Manassinakkare that the actress made her debut in films.

Puthiya Niyamam (2016)
It was reported that Nayanathara was heavily impressed by the script of this film. Rightly, the actress got to play a powerful role in the film Puthiya Niyamam, despite the movie being a superstar film. She gave a composed performance as Vasuki Iyer, who is out there to take revenge.
Elektra (2010)
Not many might have seen this movie as the film couldn't make it to the theatres. But, the movie directed by Shyamaprasad won wide praises in various film festivals. Nayanthara got to play a very strong role with humongous scope for performance in the film. She did it with perfection and won applause for her work.
Bodyguard (2010)
Siddique's Bodyguard was remade to multiple languages, but it was Nayanthara who perfectly fit in the shoes of the character. The audiences loved her performance as Ammu in the film as the actress successfully portrayed the two different stages of the character.
Bhaskar The Rascal (2015)
Bhaskar The Rascal, was a comeback of sorts for Nayanthara in Malayalam. It wasn't a tough character to perform, but we saw a matured actress in Nayanthara, who meticulously performed the role to perfection.
Raapakal (2006)
The actress had portrayed a de-glam role in the film Raapakal, directed by Kamal. The film was one of the early movies in her career, which really showed us that she is an actress with immense talent.
Most recently, the actress was seen in the Malayalam film Puthiya Niyamam, which had Mammootty in the lead role. The film went on to become a success at the box office.
She was also a part of Dileep's 2015 release Life Of Josutty. The actress made a surprise guest appearance towards the end of the film.
