INSIDE STORY: Nivin Pauly's Clash With Senior Directors
Nivin Pauly, the new crowd puller of Malayalam movie industry is undoubtedly the hot favourite of all the young film-makers and producers. But things are not the same with the seniormost directors of the industry.
Senior director Sibi Malayil's fallout with Nivin Pauly is not a secret in Mollywood. The director was rumoured to be highly disappointed with Nivin's disrespectful behavior and has pledged to not work with him in future.
It was also rumoured that some popular directors and writers of the industry, are reluctant to work with Nivin, due to his cold equation with Sibi Malayil. But at the same time, he has worked with Sathyan Anthikad, who also belong to the seniors league.
Reportedly, scenarists Bobby-Sanjay, who are the close associates of Sibi Malayil, initially rejected the Nivin Pauly starrer Lal Jose project, as they were not ready to work with him. It took a long time for the director, to convince them to associate with the project.
In the recent Manorama News Maker chat show, senior director Harikumar slammed Nivin, stating that the young actor has zero respect for the senior directors. The show was aired on January 2nd, in Manorama News channel.
Harikumar alleged that Nivin Pauly fooled some seniormost film-makers of the industry by promising them that he would attend the story discussions. He also alleged that the young actor once verbally abused a senior film-maker.
Nivin Pauly, who was also present at the show, denied the allegations stating that it is just a misunderstanding. He also apologized to the directors, for his rude behaviour and stated that it was not intentional.
