Action Hero Biju – Started Off With A Blockbuster
Action Hero Biju was the first release of Nivin Pauly, in 2016. The film, directed by Abrid Shine featured Nivin Pauly as a cop. Action Hero Biju also marked the first production venture of Pauly Jr pictures, owned by Nivin Pauly. The movie, despite facing some initial negative reviews, cruised ahead at the box office, to become a blockbuster hit.
Jacobinte Swargarajyam – Another Blockbuster For The Actor
Jacobinte Swargarajyam, which was one of the Vishu releases of this year, was in the lines of a perfect family drama. The film, directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan, was unanimously accepted by the audiences of Kerala. Jacobinte Swargarajyam, is the third biggest hit of this year, so far.
Aanandam – The Special Guest
Aanandam, which was the debut production venture of Vineeth Sreenivasan, did feature a host of newcomers in the lead role. The makers also had a big surprise in the store, in the form of Nivin Pauly, who played a guest role in the movie. He won applause for his brief appearance that went well with the audiences.
Kerala Blasters Brand Ambassador
Another big honour came in the way of Nivin pauly, which definitely proved his growing popularity. The actor was selected as the brand ambassador of the Kerala Blasters football team owned by Sachin Tendulkar and other prominent personalities.
Awards Galore For The Actor
A host of awards came in the way of Nivin Pauly. At first, the actor was selected as the Kochi Times Most Desirable Man Of The Year 2015. He also won the Best Actor (Critics) award at this year's SIIMA awards. Later, he also won the Best Actor award at the Asia Vision Film Awards for his performance in the film Jacobinte Swargarajyam.
Nivin Pauly In Tamil
The year 2016 saw Nivin Pauly keeping a foot forward in the Tamil film industry. He started the shoot of his upcoming Tamil film, directed by Gautham Ramachandran and he also signed another Tamil project, which would be produced by renowned director Atlee.
Well, both the films of Nivin Pauly, Action Hero Biju and Jacobinte Swargarajyam, will definitely feature among the biggest hits of this year. In fact, Action Hero Biju, which released early this year, did face some tough times having received some intentional degrading. But, the smart move of the makers help the movie to overcome it.
At the same time, the actor faced some criticisms for continuing in safe zone movies. But, he is sure to silence his critics with his upcoming movies.
Nivin Pauly's Sakhavu and Njandukalude Naatil Oridavela were earlier planned as 2015 releases. Later, the makers had to opt for other release dates. Now, according to the reports, Njandukalude Naatil Oridavela and Sakhavu, would hit the theatres in February 2017 and March 2017 respectively.
