a
historical
character.
Reportedly,
Nivin
Pauly
is
playing
the
famed
robber
who
lived
in
Kayamkulam
of
Travancore
state,
in
the
19th
century.
The
yet
to
be
titled
movie
which
based
on
Kottarathil
Shankunni's
Aithihyamala,
is
directed
by
Roshan
Andrews.
Popular
scriptwriter
duo
Bobby-Sanjay
pens
the
story,
screenplay,
and
dialogues
for
the
movie.
Reportedly,
Nivin
is
extremely
excited
with
the
concept
and
immediately
decided
to
do
the
project.
Earlier,
legendary
actor
Sathyan
had
played
Kayamkulam
Kochunni,
in
the
1966-released
movie
of
the
same
name.
Director
Roshan
Andrews,
who
confirmed
the
news
recently,
revealed
some
interesting
facts
about
the
project.
Even
though
Aithiyamala
depicts
Kochunni's
story,
there
only
a
very
little
detail
about
his
personal
life.
But,
the
movie
will
concentrate
more
on
Kayamkulam
Kochunni's
personal
life,
especially
his
love
life.
Bobby
and
Sanjay
scripted
the
film
with
the
help
of
a
history
students'
group,
after
a
2-year-long
research.
The
project,
which
is
made
with
a
budget
of
10-12
Crores,
is
produced
by
Gokulam
Gopalan
for
Sree
Gokulam
Movies.
The
team
is
planning
to
shoot
the
movie,
at
the
various
locations
of
Kayamkulam
and
Sri
Lanka.
Interestingly,
Nivin
Pauly
will
use
the
ancient
Travancore
slang
in
the
film.
A
debutante
will
essay
the
female
lead
in
the
movie,
which
will
have
a
star
cast
which
majorly
features
new
faces.
The
team
is
yet
to
finalise
the
cinematographer
of
the
project.
Satheesh,
the
sound
designer
of
Baahubali
and
Talaash,
will
handle
the
audio
designing.
Kabali
music
director
Santhosh
Narayanan
has
been
roped
in
to
compose
the
music.
