After Om Shanti Oshana, Jude Anthany Joseph Is Back With 'Oru Muthassi Gada'

Jude Anthany Joseph, the director-actor who made his debut with the blockbuster movie Om Shanti Oshana, is all set to direct his second movie, titled Oru Muthassi Gada.

Interestingly, the movie which is said to be an out-and-out comical entertainer, stars a newcomer in the central role. Oru Muthassi Gada deals with the lives of old people and their struggles.

Reportedly, Jude Anthany had approached some popular actresses to play the title character Muthassi. All of them were impressed with the script; but not ready to appear as an old lady on-screen.

Om Shanti Oshana, the debut directorial venture of Jude was also a women-centric movie. The movie, which had Nazriya Nazim and Nivin Pauly in the lead roles, was one of the biggest hits of 2014.

Nazriya went on to bag the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress, for her performance in the movie. The movie also bagged the State Awards for Best Popular Movie and Best Editor.

Oru Muthassi Gada will mark the second collaboration of team Om Shanti Oshana. Vineeth Sreenivasan, Aju Varghese, Renji Panicker, Lal Jose, etc play the key roles. Shaan Rahman composes the music.

Lijo Paul is the editor and Sameera Saneesh designs the costumes. Some sources close to the project also suggest that Nivin Pauly will make a special cameo appearance in the movie.
