Oppam,
the
Mohanlal

thriller
has
completed
the
first
week
of
its
release.
The
movie
which
is
written
and
directed
by
Priyadarshan
has
impressed
both
the
movie
fanatics
and
critics.
As
per
the
latest
updates
from
the
trade
analysts,
Oppam
has
made
a
total
gross
collection
of
Rs.
12.61
Crores,
when
it
completed
its
first
week
run
at
the
Kerala
releasing
centres.
Thus,
the
movie
broke
the
record
of
Premam,
the
Nivin
Pauly
starrer
as
the
fastest
Malayalam
movie
to
enter
the
10
Crore
club.
Oppam
crossed
10
Crores
gross
collection,
within
the
first
6
days
of
release.
When
it
completed
the
first
6
days
of
release,
the
Mohanlal
starrer
made
a
gross
collection
of
10.7
Crores.
Premam,
on
the
other
hand,
entered
the
10
Crore
club
within
the
first
7
days
of
its
release.
Oppam
had
an
average
opening
at
the
box
office,
despite
the
huge
initial
hype.
The
movie
made
an
initial
collection
of
Rs.
1.56
Crores,
with
a
net
collection
of
1.26
Crores
and
share
of
74
Lakhs.
But,
the
positive
reviews
helped
the
movie
to
improve
the
collections,
and
it
made
a
gross
of
7.24
Crores
within
the
first
weekend
of
release.
The
outside
Kerala
collections
of
Oppam
are
yet
to
be
revealed.
