Prithviraj Finds Chenkol To Be The Most Underrated Sequel Of All Time!

If we make a list of the most underrated films in Malayalam, then the film Chenkol, which was the sequel to the much acclaimed film Kireedam, would find a top spot in the list.

Recently, actor Prithviraj too opened up about his views on the film Chenkol, which had Mohanlal in the lead role. The actor took to twitter to scribble down his thoughts about the film

The actor stated that the central character Sethumadhavan haunts him much more in the film Chenkol than in the film Kireedam, which was its prequel.

Well, we can't disagree with that and many of you out there would be sharing the same view about the film.

The first part of the film directed by Sibi Malayil and written by Lohithadas was a big hit at the box-office and at the same time, the film was critically acclaimed as well.

When it came to Chenkol, the expectations on the project were sky high and hence the audiences couldn't digest the happenings in the film back then and the film didn't do a good business at the box-office.

But, a closer look in to the film would reveal the fact that Chenkol had many more soul stirring moments to offer, than Kireedam. Performance of Mohanlal was top-notch in both the versions, but certain section of audiences rate his performance in Chenkol as one of his career best.
