originally
supposed
to
hit
the
theatres
by
the
third
week
of
December.
Later,
the
release
of
the
movie
was
delayed
indefinitely
due
to
the
theatre
strike.
Now,
the
sources
suggest
that
Ezra
will
hit
the
theatres
on
December
30.
In
the
recently
held
Vimaanam
press
meet,
lead
actor
Prithviraj
revealed
that
the
team
is
planning
to
release
the
movie
on
December
30.
If
it
is
not
possible,
Ezra
will
only
hit
the
theatres
in
January
2017.
However,
the
production
team
hopes
they
will
be
able
to
release
the
movie
for
Christmas
season
itself,
as
planned
as
earlier.
Ezra,
which
is
written
and
directed
by
newcomer
Jay
K,
is
said
to
be
an
out-and-out
horror
thriller.
Jay
K
is
the
former
assistant
of
Bollywood
director
Rajkumar
Santhoshi
and
National
award-winner
Rajeev
Ravi.
The
movie,
which
stars
Prithviraj
in
the
role
Ranjan
Abraham,
stars
popular
actress
Priya
Anand
in
the
female
lead.
Young
actor
Tovino
Thomas
appears
as
Shafeer
Ahamed
IAS,
a
brave
police
officer.
