Prithviraj's Karnan: The Most Expensive Movie Of Mollywood
Prithviraj is back with his Ennu Ninte Moideen director RS Vimal, for their second film together. The movie which is titled as Karnan, is based on the epic Mahabharatha.
According to the latest reports, the budget of Karnan exceeds 50 Crores, thus making it the most expensive movie ever made in the history of Malayalam cinema.
The project is produced by Venu Kunnappally, under the banner Kavya Films. Gopi Sundar composes the music. More details about the star cast and technical crew are yet to be revealed.
Interestingly, Karnan is a multi-lingual, which will be simultaneously made in Malayalam, Tamil, and Hindi. Director RS Vimal states that it will be a movie of international standards.
According to the director, the movie narrates the inner conflicts of Karnan. It also portrays Karnan's strained relationship with his estranged mother and siblings.
Baahubali cinematographer KK Senthil Kumar has been roped in as the director of photography of Karnan. Most popular technicians of Indian cinema are expected to associate with the movie.
Mammootty, the big M is also rumoured to be playing Karnan, in actor P Sreekumar's upcoming directorial venture. However, megastar hasn't confirmed the reports yet.
