Two
months
have
passed
since
the
release
of
Mohanlal
starrer
Pulimurugan.
The
film,
which
released
on
October
7,
2016
has
scripted
some
new
records,
which
would
be
hard
to
be
eclipsed
in
the
near
future.
The
movie,
has
had
a
phenomenal
run
at
the
Kochi
multiplex
centres.
After
a
bumper
opening,
the
film
sustained
well
and
went
on
to
become
the
highest
grossing
movie
at
the
Kochi
multiplexes.
Now,
according
to
the
latest
reports,
Pulimurugan
has
crossed
the
4-Crore
mark
at
the
Kochi
multiplexes.
The
4-Crore
mark
was
something
that
was
considered
to
be
not
easily
achievable,
till
Pulimurugan
released.
Interestingly,
the
film
took
just
60
days
to
cross
this
mark,
which
gives
us
an
indication
about
the
steady
run
that
the
film
has
had
in
Kochi.
Earlier,
Pulimurugan
broke
the
records
set
by
Hollywood
movie,
The
Jungle
Book,
which
collected
3.74
Crores
from
various
centres
in
Kochi
multiplexes.
In
fact,
Pulimurugan
is
the
only
Malayalam
movie,
which
has
entered
the
3-Crore
and
4-Crore
clubs,
as
well.
Nivin
Pauly
starrer
Jacobinte
Swargarajyam
is
the
second
highest
grosser
at
Kochi
multiplexes,
having
fetched
2.93
Crores.
Pulimurugan
still
holds
on
to
8
shows/day
in
the
Ernakulam
multiplexes
and
is
expected
to
have
a
smooth
run
till
the
Christmas
releases.
