Pulimurugan Box Office: Scripts Yet Another Record!
Mohanlal's latest release Pulimurugan has already emerged as the highest ever grosser of the industry. Now, the movie has set a new record.
Pulimurugan, the Mohanlal starring action thriller which hit the theatres this Navarathri season, has already recently emerged as the highest ever grosser of the industry. Now, Pulimurugan has scripted yet another record.
Interestingly, the Mohanlal movie recently broke the Ernakulam multiplex collection record of Nivin Pauly starrer Jacobinte Swargarajyam. Thus, Pulimurugan has emerged as the highest grossing Malayalam movie of Ernakulam multiplexes.
The movie has collected more than 2.95 Crores from the multiplexes of the district within the first 27 days of its release. Jacobinte Swargarajyam, on the other hand, made a total gross collection of 2.94 Crores from its lifetime run.
Pulimurugan has also become the first Malayalam movie to cross the 3-Crore mark at Ernakulam multiplex box office. Jungle Book, the Hollywood blockbuster is the all-time highest grossing movie of Ernakulam multiplex box office.
The fantasy film went on to collect about 3.72 Crores within its lifetime run at the city's multiplexes. The trade analysts expect that Pulimurugan will surely be able to break the record of Jungle Book, in another month.
Meanwhile, Pulimurugan had a massive release at the UAE region today. The Vysakh-directed movie is marching towards the prestigious 100-Crore club and is expected to cross the mark within the first month of its release.
