Pulimurugan has set the box office on fire. The Mohanlal starrer has made a gargantuan opening at the Kerala box office, thrashing all the previous records.
Reportedly, the film garnered 4.05 Crores on its opening day itself. The film eclipsed the record set by Mammootty starrer Kasaba. Mammootty's film had minted 2.48 Crores on its opening day.

Pulimurugan, directed by Vysakh has been made under a budget of 24 Crores. Apart from Mohanlal, the film also features Kamalini Mukherjee, Jagapathi Babu, Lal, Bala, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Makarand Deshpande, Kishore, Vinu Mohan, Siddique etc., in prominent roles.
