Jayasurya,
the
versatile
actor
has
received
the
special
jury
award
at
the
63rd
National
Film
Awards.
Interestingly,
veteran
director
Ramesh
Sippy,
the
jury
chairman
is
all
praises
for
Jayasurya.
Sippy
states
that
Jayasurya
has
delivered
incredible
performances
in
both
Su
Su
Sudhi
Vathmeekam
and
Lukka
Chuppi.
He
was
considered
for
the
Best
Actor
award,
along
with
Amitabh
Bachchan
and
Mammootty.
But,
the
jury
had
already
decided
to
select
only
one
actor
for
the
Best
Actor,
unlike
the
earlier
years.
So,
they
decided
to
award
Big
B
with
the
Best
Actor
award
and
Jayasurya
with
the
special
jury
mention.
Reportedly,
the
jury
decided
to
eliminate
Mammootty
from
the
list,
as
the
megastar
has
won
the
Best
Actor
trophy,
three
times
earlier.
However,
Jayasurya
considers
the
special
jury
mention
as
a
great
honour.
The
actor
feels
that
he
is
extremely
lucky
to
be
considered
for
the
Best
Actor
award,
along
with
the
two
greatest
actors
of
Indian
cinema.
He
has
been
receiving
huge
appreciations
from
all
over.
Jayasurya
is
currently
shooting
for
Roshan
Andrews's
upcoming
movie
School
Bus,
in
which
he
shares
the
screen
with
Kunchacko
Boban
and
Aparna
Gopinath.
The
movie
will
hit
the
theatres
by
mid-2016.
