Sai Pallavi In Mani Ratnam Movie?

Sai Pallavi, the new sensation, is reportedly playing the female lead in veteran film-maker Mani Ratnam's upcoming movie. The actress has been roped in for Mani Ratnam's Karthi starrer.

According to the report published in a popular Malayalam daily, Sai Pallavi was recently auditioned for the role. Mani Ratnam, who was impressed with her screen test, immediately finalised her for the role.

The movie, which is said to be a romantic thriller, is an AR Rahman musical. If the reports are to be true, our Malar will be next seen in the Mani Ratnam movie opposite Karthi.

The much-awaited project was initially offered to Mani Ratnam's OK Kanmani actor Dulquer Salmaan. But the actor turned down the offer due to his busy schedule.

It was also reported that Malayali actresses Nithya Menen and Keerthi Suresh have been approached for the role. But the report was later revealed to be false.

Sai Pallavi, who made her debut with Alphonse Puthren directed Nivin Pauly starrer Premam, is undoubtedly the most celebrated new face of Mollywood in the recent past.

She is currently filming for the upcoming Dulquer Salmaan starrer Kali, directed by cinematographer-director Sameer Thahir. Sai Pallavi is playing the character Anjali in the movie.
