This Actor To Reprise Mohanlal's Role In Oppam Hindi Remake!

Oppam, the recently released Mohanlal movie is all set to have a Hindi remake. Priyadarshan, who directed the original, is also directing the Hindi version of the movie which will start rolling soon.

As per the latest reports, popular Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn will reprise Mohanlal's role from Oppam, in the Hindi remake. The team is expected to make an official announcement about the Hindi star cast, soon.

Earlier, it was reported that Akshay Kumar has been roped in to play the central character in the Oppam Hindi remake. But according to the latest updates, it is Akshay, but Ajay essays the lead role in the remake.

Ajay Devgn has earlier essayed the lead role in the Hindi remake of the Mohanlal starring blockbuster movie Drishyam. Reportedly, Oppam team feels that Ajay is the perfect replacement for Mohanlal in the Hindi remake.

According to the sources, Oppam Hindi remake will go on floors immediately after Priyadarshan completes his upcoming Akshay Kumar project. The suspense thriller is also expected to have a Tamil remake, soon.

Oppam, which is produced by Antony Perumbavoor for Aashirvad Cinemas, emerged as the second all-time highest grosser of Malayalam cinema, and the second highest grossing Malayalam movie of the year.
