Guppy Release Postponed Due To New Censor Rules!

Upcoming Malayalam film Guppy, directed by Johnpaul George and featuring Chethan Jayalal and Tovino Thomas in the lead roles, was expected to hit the theatres on July 29, 2016.

Now, the makers of the film have announced that they have postponed the releasing dates owing to new censor rules, which has forced them to push forward the release date.

The makers of Guppy took to Facebook to announce the new release date of the film. Take a look at the note posted on the official Facebook page of Guppy movie.

The film would now hit the theatres on August 5, 2016, after all the censoring procedures. According to the new censor rules, a film would be only censored after it has been officially uploaded on Qube(Digital Cinema Servers).

Guppy did grab the immediate attention of the viewers once the trailer of the film released online. The trailer opened to good reception, especially praising the cinematography of Gireesh Gangadharan. The film also features actors like Sreenivasan, Rohini etc in prominent roles.

There are two other films which have been slated for release on August 5, 2016. Mohanlal starrer Vismayam and Sunny Wayne starrer Annmaria Kalippilaanu is expected to hit the theatres on August 5, 2016.

Meanwhile, Mammootty starrer White and Shane Nigam and Shruthi Menon starrer Kismath are the films which would hit the theatres in this week.
