Another Strike Hits Malayalam Film Industry
The Producers Association announced a strike from December 16, 2016 onwards, which has postponed the releases of all the upcoming films. This has come as the result of the ongoing issue between Producers Association and Exhibitors Federation, which arouse when the latter section started demanding the half of the amount of the theatres share, to which the Producers Association is against.
Interesting Updates On Dulquer Salmaan-Amal Neerad Movie
The shoot of Amal Neerad's upcoming film featuring Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role is currently progressing. Recently, a few fight sequences were also filmed and the pictures of the same went viral on Facebook. Interestingly, the film is now the firs Malayalam film to be shot in Latin American countries.
Pranav Mohanlal To Learn Parkour
Pranav Mohanlal is all set to make a grand debut in films. Reportedly, the upcoming actor is all set to go for a rigorous training as a preparation for the movie. The young actor would learn the special physical training method 'Parkour', for his upcoming film with Jeethu Joseph.

Kunchacko Boban Roped In For Ranjith Sankar's Next
Ranjith Sankar had earlier announced that his next film would be a romantic tale and he titled it as Ramante Eden Thottam. Now, the director has announced the lead actor of the movie. Actor Kunchacko Boban would play the title role of Raman in the movie and the film is expected to go on floors in February 2017.
Mohanlal-B Unnikrishnan Movie Goes On Floors
B Unnikrishnan's next directorial venture would feature Mohanlal in the lead role. Now, the yet-to-be-titled film has gone on floors. The switch on ceremony of the film was performed by actor Jayaram on December 14, 2016. The film will be jointly produced by Aashirvad Cinemas and H G Entertainments.
Vimanam: The First Look Poster Is Out
After a long wait, the makers of the film Vimanam, have released the first look poster of the movie. A press conference was held for the same with actor Prithviraj also attending the function. the film helmed by Pradeep K Nair will be produced by Listin Stephen under the banner Magic Frames.
Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol: The First Video Song Is Out
The first video song of Mohanlal's upcoming film Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol is finally out. The song Punnamada Kayal has been set to tune by M Jayachandran. The peppy song sung by Jithin Raj has some brilliant visuals and the sequences in the song promises a perfect family entertainer.
Well, no Malayalam films had hit the theatres in the past week. Dulquer Salmaan's upcoming movie Jomonte Suvisheshangal, directed by Sathyan Anthikkad, was earlier expected to hit the theatres on December 16, 2016. But, now the release date has been postponed owing to the film strike, which came to effect on the same day.
Mohanlal starrer Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol, Jayasurya-Siddique team's Fukri, Prithviraj's horror thriller Ezra etc., were expected to release during the coming week. But, with the strike coming to effect, there isn't a clear-cut idea about the release of these movies, as well. These movies are expected to release once the strike is called-off.
Meanwhile, Aamir Khan's upcoming film Dangal, is all set to hit the theatres in Kerala on December 23, 2016.
