Vidya Balan Starrer Aami To Start Rolling On September 25!

The shoot of upcoming Malayalam film Aami, which is based on the life of renowned and acclaimed writer Kamala Surayya, is expected to begin on September 25.

The film directed by Kamal would have Vidya Balan in the lead role portraying the role of Aami. Writer Kamala Surayya was fondly known as Aami in her friends and family circles.

Earlier, the film was expected to begin by the end of this year and now the team has decided to begin the first schedule of shooting in September.

The first schedule of the shoot would be held in Kerala and the team is planning it to complete it by November 5, 2016. The movie would also be shot in various locations like Delhi, Mumbai etc.

The film directed by Kamal has the script written by the director himself. Kamal, earlier made the film Celluloid, which was a biopic on J C Daniel. The director had scripted for that film too.

Apart from Vidya Balan, Aami would have a host of prominent actors from Malayalam film industry. Reports suggest that, Murali Gopy would be seen in the role of Madhava Das in the film.

Actor Prithviraj would also be a part of the film and according to reports it is his character who takes the story forward. Anoop Menon is also a part of the cast list.
