Friends,
the
1999-released
Siddique-Lal
movie,
is
one
of
the
most
celebrated
films
of
that
time.
The
movie
had
a
huge
star
cast,
including
Jayaram,
Mukesh,
Meena,
Sreenivasan,
Divya
Unni,
etc.
Interestingly,
Manju
Warrier
was
the
initial
choice
for
Meena's
role
in
the
movie.
Actor
Mukesh
revealed
the
fact
in
the
recently
aired
Badai
Bungalow
show,
which
had
Manju
Warrier
as
the
guest.
The
role
Padmini,
which
has
a
touch
of
negative
shades,
was
originally
written
for
Manju
Warrier.
The
actress
was
highly
impressed
with
the
character
and
immediately
agreed
to
do
the
film.
But,
things
took
a
different
turn
when
Manju
suddenly
decided
to
tie
the
knot
with
her
longtime
sweetheart
Dileep.
She
decided
to
put
an
end
to
her
acting
career
and
backed
out
from
the
project
at
the
last
minute.
It
was
a
huge
blow
to
the
team
who
were
all
set
to
start
the
filming
of
the
movie.
Later,
they
made
some
changes
in
the
character
and
went
on
to
rope
in
Southern
sensation
Meena,
for
the
role.
Now,
both
the
actresses
have
made
a
comeback
into
the
film
industry.
Manju
is
all
set
to
release
her
upcoming
movie
Karinkunnam
Sixes,
while
Meena
will
soon
join
the
sets
of
Jibu
Jacob's
Mohanlal
movie.
