Don't we all love to see our favourite superstars of Mollywood sharing the screen space with the superstars of other film industries? The answer would be always a big 'Yes'.

Mammootty – Rajinikanth
Mammootty shared screen space with none other than Tamil superstar Rajnikanth in the film Thalapathi (1991) directed by Mani Ratnam. In fact, Mammootty played an equally important and powerful role in the film and this superstar combination is still one of the best ever seen. Mammootty gave a stunning performance as Devaraj in the film.
Jayaram – Kamal Haasan
Jayaram has been a prominent face in the Tamil film industry and has acted in a good number of Tamil movies as a solo hero. The film Thenali (2000), which had Kamal Haasan in the lead role, also had Jayaram playing an equally important role. The actor, went on to win the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for his performance in the film.
Mammootty - Ajith Kumar
In fact, the film Kandukondein Kandukondein (2000), in which both the stars joined hands, had Mammootty in the lead role, along with Ajith Kumar. There were only a very few combination sequences for them in the film, but the audiences loved those sequences very much.
Suresh Gopi – Ajith Kumar
Suresh Gopi made a smashing debut in Tamil film industry with the film Dheena (2001), which had Ajith Kumar in the lead role. In fact, Suresh Gopi delivered a powerful performance and the pair of Ajith and Suresh Gopi was much appreciated.
Mohanlal – Kamal Haasan
What happens when two powerhouse of talents meet on the screen? The result is a film like Unnaipol Oruvan (2009). Mohanlal got a well-crafted role in this film and needless to say he nailed it with his performance matching the talent of Kamal Haasan.
Mohanlal – Vijay
The hype was phenomenal when Mohanlal and Vijay decided to join hands for the film Jilla (2013). But, the movie left Mohanlal fans disappointed as the actor had to play a poorly written role. Having said that, audiences enjoyed the combination of both the stars.
Such combinations have always turned out to be effective. Most of the films in which the superstars of both the industry joined hands, have turned out to be big hits.
Fans of both the stars from both the industries assure a good initial collection for such films and the name of the stars is solely enough to increase the hype.
In fact, superstars like Mammootty and Mohanlal are well-known in Kollywood and they have done roles of importance in films, even while sharing screen space with their counterparts from Kollywood.
Young actors like Prithviraj have also had the chance to work with superstars of Kollywood like Vikram. They both shared the screen space in the film Raavanan, directed by Mani Rathnam.
Next, Fahadh Faasil would share the screen space with Sivakarthikeyan in the upcoming Tamil film, which would be directed by M Raja.
Well, having said this much, we are definitely waiting for the big superstars of Kollywood to make similar appearances in Malayalam films. We are sure all Malayalam audiences would cherish such a scene.
