Priyadarshan
has
made
a
grand
comeback
to
Malayalam
films
with
his
most
recent
film
Oppam,
which
has
Mohanlal
in
the
lead
role.
The
film
has
emerged
as
a
big
blockbuster
and
is
one
of
the
biggest
hits
of
his
career.
But,
before
Oppam,
the
director
did
go
through
a
tumultuous
phase
of
his
life,
especially
when
his
family
life
was
shattered
after
his
divorce
with
Lissy.
Priyadarshan,
in
a
recent
interview
given
to
popular
magazine
Vanitha,
opened
up
the
tough
times
that
he
had
in
those
days.
The
director
stated
that
he
was
even
unable
to
identify
the
films
that
he
directed.
He
explained
about
one
of
the
incidents
that
happened
during
the
shooting
days
of
Oppam.
Mohanlal
was
in
his
caravan
watching
a
Malayalam
film.
It
was
then,
that
Priyadarshan
came
in
to
meet
him.
Priyadarshan,
after
watching
certain
scenes
of
the
film,
felt
like
he
had
watched
the
movie
before.
The
director
asked
Mohanlal
which
movie
it
was,
as
he
was
unable
to
identify
it.
It
was
Mohanlal,
who
later
reminded
him
that
it
he
was
watching
Priyadarshan's
film,
Aamayum
Muyalum.
Well,
the
director
was
written-off
completely
by
many
critics,
as
well.
But,
with
Oppam
he
has
bounced
back
and
proved
that
he
is
still
in
the
business.
