Actor Munshi Venu Passes Away

Munshi Venu, the actor who rose to fame with the popular Television show Munshi aired in Asianet, passed away....

Munshi Venu aka Venu Narayanan the senior actor, who rose to fame with the popular TV show Munshi, passed away. The actor was admitted to a private hospital from the past few weeks, due to kidney-related disease.

Venu, who made mark with his role of 'Member' in Munshi, has been active in the film and television industries from the past two decades, and has acted in about 60 films. Munshi Venu last appeared in the recently released Asif Ali starrer Honey Bee 2.

The actor, who is unmarried, was living in a private lodge in Chalakudy for the last 10 years. Munshi Venu's medical expenses were handled by the megastar Mammootty and young actor and player Rajeev Pillai.

Venu, who was a common face in most of the Mammootty films, has appeared in several popular films including Daddy Cool, Emmanuel, Utopiayile Rajavu, Kadha Parayumbol, Chotta Mumbai, Salt N Pepper, Oru Muthassi Gadha, etc.
