Mohanlal’s Villain To Release In 8K
Reportedly, the team of Mohanlal's upcoming movie Villain, is planning something really big. The film, helmed by B Unnikrishnan is being shot in ‘Red' camera of ‘Weapon Helium 8K series' and importantly the makers are planning to release the film in 8K format. In fact, Villain is the first Indian film to be shot in 8K format.
Vinayakan In Contention For National Awards
Actor Vinayakan, who was recently adjudged the Best Actor at the Kerala State Awards 2016 has got another big reason to smile. Reportedly, the actor is in contention for the award for the Best Actor at the National level and will fight it out with other big nominees. The award results are expected to be out by March end.
Puthan Panam Gets A New Release Date
Mammootty starrer Puthan Panam, directed by Ranjith, was earlier expected to hit the theatres in the month of April. Reportedly, the makers have decided to push forward the release date and now they are planning to release the movie on May 12, 2017.

Kammarasambhavam, directed by Rathish Ambat and featuring Dileep in the lead role is getting bigger with each passing day. The team has roped in popular actress Namitha Pramod to do an important role in the movie. Reportedly, the actress will soon join the sets of the movie.
Bharathchandran IPS To Have A Sequel?
Here is a happy news for all the fans of the iconic character Bharathchandran, portrayed by Suresh Gopi. If reports are to be believed, a sequel to Bharathchandran IPS is in consideration and it is Liberty Basheer who is planning the project. This news did shock each and everyone in the industry. Film-maker Diphan(47), who gave the blockbuster film Puthiya Mukham, passed away on March 13, 2017. Reportedly, the actor was undergoing a treatment in one of the private hospitals in Kochi.
Prithviraj To Join Hands With Roopesh Peethambaran?
Roopesh Peethambaran is in news again after his act in the film Oru Mexican Aparatha went on to become a huge hit among the masses. Both the films have been receiving favourable reviews from the audiences and we have to wait and see how the box office collections of these movies have turned out to be.
Anyhow, these movies will face stiff competition from this week's big releases. The first film to hit the theatres will be Honey Bee 2, which will release on March 23, 2017. The very next day, Take Off, directed by Mahesh Narayanan, featuring Kunchacko Boban, Fahadh Faasil and Parvathy in the lead roles will hit the theatres.
