Nivin
Pauly
is
all
set
to
entertain
the
Malayalam
film
audiences,
with
his
upcoming
release
Sakhavu,
which
will
be
opening
big
at
the
theatres
tomorrow
(April
07,
2017).
It
has
been
more
than
a
year
since
we
last
saw
a
Nivin
Pauly
film
onscreen
and
Sakhavu
promises
to
be
a
powerful
movie
of
the
actor,
who
has
etched
a
place
in
the
minds
of
the
Kerala
audiences.
Expectations
are
sky
high
on
Sakhavu,
which
has
Nivin
Pauly
in
dual
roles.
The
actor
is
expected
to
deliver
another
big
blockbuster,
with
this
film,
directed
by
Sidhartha
Siva.
Before
the
release
of
Sakhavu,
we
take
you
through
an
analysis
on
the
box
office
performances
of
Nivin
Pauly's
previous
5
movies.
Jacobinte
Swargarajyam
(2016)
Jacobinte
Swargarajyam,
was
the
actor's
previous
release.
The
film
came
out
in
April
2016
and
it
was
the
most
accepted
movie
of
the
Vishu
season
of
the
year
2016.
The
film
received
generally
positive
reviews
with
the
family
audiences
giving
thumbs
up
for
the
movie.
The
movie
was
the
highest
grossing
movie
of
2016
till
Oppam
and
Pulimurugan
released.
Jacobinte
Swargarajyam
is
expected
to
have
a
done
a
business
of
around
25
Crores.

Verdict:
Blockbuster
Action
Hero
Biju
(2016)
Action
Hero
Biju
was
the
actor's
next
release
after
his
career
defining
film
Premam.
The
movie
had
a
rather
dull
start,
with
negative
reviews
pouring
in.
Later,
the
film
had
a
dream
run
at
the
box
office.
Despite
facing
a
stiff
competition
from
Maheshinte
Prathikaaram,
Action
Hero
Biju
made
a
mark
of
its
own
at
the
box
office
and
in
the
final
run
grossed
more
than
Maheshinte
Prathikaaram
at
the
worldwide
box
office.

Verdict:
Blockbuster
Premam
(2015)
We
all
know
about
the
magic
that
this
film
created
at
the
box
office.
After
a
decent
opening,
the
film
grew
with
largely
positive
word
of
mouth.
In
the
initial
few
weeks
of
the
movie,
it
was
rather
difficult
to
get
the
tickets
for
the
movie.
The
movie
raced
ahead
to
the
50-Crore
club
and
was
second
only
to
Drishyam,
at
that
time.
In
fact,
Premam
also
had
a
fantabulous
run
in
other
states,
making
Nivin
Pauly
a
popular
face
in
Tamil
Nadu,
Karnataka
etc.
Box
Office
Verdict:
Blockbuster
Ivide
(2015)
Ivide
was
a
multi-starrer
and
it
had
Nivin
Pauly
playing
an
equally
important
role,
along
with
Prithviraj.
Interestingly,
Ivide
and
Premam
got
released
on
the
same
day
and
disappointingly
the
former
couldn't
create
any
impact
at
the
box
office.
The
film
failed
to
take
off
at
the
box
office
at
any
time.
While
audiences
accepted
Premam,
they
disowned
Ivide.

Verdict:
Flop
Oru
Vadakkan
Selfie
(2015)
There
might
be
two
opinions
regarding
the
quality
of
the
movie,
but
there
is
no
denying
the
fact
that
it
was
a
runaway
success
at
the
box
office.
Nivin
Pauly
was
at
his
comfort
zone
playing
the
role
of
Umesh
and
the
film
made
the
necessary
impact
at
the
box
office
from
Day
1
onwards.
Youngsters
and
family
audiences
lapped
up
the
movie,
as
the
film
grossed
above
20
Crores,
despite
superstar
movies
like
Ennum
Eppozhum
and
Bhaskar
The
Rascal
offering
stiff
competitions.
Oru
Vadakkan
Selfie
even
went
on
to
complete
100
days
of
run
in
Kochi
multiplexes.

Office
Verdict:
Blockbuster
Well,
Nivin
Pauly
has
had
a
dream
run
at
the
box
office
with
4
of
his
previous
5
movies
emerging
as
big
money
spinners
at
the
box
office.
Only
Ivide,
failed
to
make
an
impact
at
the
box
office.
Interestingly,
Sakhavu
is
expected
to
be
a
film
quite
different
from
the
actor's
previous
movies.
Nivin
Pauly
movies
do
hold
a
minimum
guarantee
and
we
hope
that
Sakhavu
would
be
another
feather
in
the
cap
of
Nivin
Pauly.
We
wish
the
entire
team
of
the
movie
all
the
very
best.
