Dileep, the janapriyanayakan has been in the gossip columns from the past few years, thanks to his divorce with Manju Warrier and remarriage with Kavya Madhavan. In the recent interview given to Manorama Online, Dileep finally opened up about the rumours and cyber attack.
The actor, who finally commented on his divorce, stated that he and his ex-wife were leading a perfect married life till 2013. More than a wife, Manju Warrier was his best friend, with whom he used to share every little secret.
The Other 'Prominent Personalities'
Their happy life fell apart due to the interventions of some 'prominent personalities'. Dileep claims that he had clearly mentioned the actual reason for divorce and the names of the 'prominent personalities' who played a huge part in it, in the divorce petition which he submitted to the family court.
Priority Is Daughter Meenakshi
According to Dileep, he opted for a private trial, as he doens't wanted to anybody to suffer due to his family issues. The actor also points out that his daughter Meenakshi is his biggest priority, and that is why they decided to not wash the dirty linen in public.
No Issues With Ex-wife
Dileep states that he has absolutely no issues with his ex-wife, and has no intentions to harm her in any way. He is also happy that she is doing well in her career. But, a few people are still instigating her against him.
Remarriage
Dileep stated that he had no plans to remarry, and was busy with his career after the divorce. According to the actor, it was his daughter's extreme loneliness, which made him think about a remarriage.
Why Kavya?
When he started thinking about a remarriage, Dileep was very sure that he cannot marry a stanger. Since Kavya has always been crucified in his name, the actor felt that he should share the rest of his life with her.
Oppositions From Kavya's Family
Kavya's family, especially her mother, was initially against the idea of marriage, fearing that the public might feel that the rumours regarding her involvement in Dileep-Manju divorce were true. But Dileep's family and friends convinced them finally.
Dileep also stated that he was never been in a romantic relationship with Kavya Madhavan, even though they know each other from 1998. The actor feels that it is totally unfair to blame Kavya for the failure of his first marriage with Manju Warrier.
When he was asked about his involvement in the attack against the popular actress, Dileep he was the first one to offer her a lead role. But, the actor admitted that his friendship with the actress turned sour after a particular incident, and he decided to not work with her anymore.
Dileep points out that he supported her during the tough times, but still she didn't react when the media dragged him into the issue. The actor also severely thrashed a few journalists and media organisations, for circulating baseless rumours against him.
