Prithviraj starrer Ezra is continuing its dream run at the box office. Due to the extremely positive word of mouth, the film is doing a good business on the weekdays, as well.
Interestingly, Ezra is doing an exceptional business at the Kochi multiplexes. In fact, Ernakulam is one of the best performing centres for this Prithviraj movie, directed by debutant Jay K.

2 Days Topper At Kochi Multiplexes
After fetching 16.82 Lakhs on the first day, the movie did have an excellent second day by taking the gross to 31.19 Lakhs. Ezra, now holds the record for the the top 2 day grosser at the Kochi multiplexes beating the record earlier set by Jomonte Suviseshangal.

The Best Occupancy Rate
On its second day, Ezra recorded an occupancy rate of 99.85 % at the Kochi multiplexes and thus breaking the record of the occupancy rate of 99.58 % that Pulimurugan had recorded on its fifth day.

100 Housefull Shows In 3 Days
The film started off with 55 shows/day in the Kochi multiplexes. Most of the shows were housefull from Day 1 itself. By the third day the film attained 100 housefull shows in Kochi multiplexes.

First Weekend Collection
Ezra had a 3 day weekend and despite not being a holiday season, the film made it big at the box office. In 3 days, Ezra went on to gross 46.89 Lakhs from Kochi multiplexes and thus became the top weekend grosser of all time. The film broke the record set by Pulimurugan, which went on to fetch 42.85 lakhs from 3 days.

Fastest To Reach 50 Lakhs
Ezra, after having a magnificent start did cruise ahead at the Kochi multiplexes. In fact, the movie entered the 50-Lakh club by Monday morning itself, and thus becoming the fastest to reach the mark by breaking Pulimurugan's record.

The film has completed 6 days now and the total collection of the movie stands at 86.83 Lakhs at the Kochi multiplexes. Going at this rate, the film is sure to cross the 1-Crore mark in a couple of days.
If the movie manages to cross the 1-Crore mark on its 7th day, then the film will go on to become the fastest Malayalam film to reach the coveted club.
