Dulquer
Salmaan
starrer
Kammatipaadam,
the
film
which
hit
the
theatres
in
2016,
is
one
such
Malayalam
movie
of
the
recent
times,
that
received
extremely
positive
reviews
from
all
quarters.
The
making
style,
the
performances
of
actors
like
Dulquer
Salmaan,
Vinayakan
etc.,
were
much
praised
and
rightly,
Vinayakan
even
went
on
to
win
the
Kerala
State
Film
Award
For
The
Best
Actor
for
his
performance
in
the
film.
But,
not
many
know
that
Fahadh
Faasil
was
first
approached
for
this
movie
by
Rajeev
Ravi.
Actor
Fahadh
Faasil
himself
opened
up
about
this
in
a
recent
interview
given
to
a
popular
magazine.
Reportedly,
before
the
filming
of
Annayum
Rasoolum,
Fahadh
Faasil
was
offered
both
Annayum
Rasoolum
and
Kammatipaadam,
but
the
actor
chose
the
former
movie.
He
was
offered
the
role
of
Krishnan,
originally
played
by
Dulquer
Salmaan,
but
the
actor
was
interested
in
the
role
of
Rasool,
so
he
chose
to
do
Annayum
Rasoolum.
He
stated
that
he
opted
not
to
select
Kammatipaadam
since
he
hasn't
seen
the
Kochi
of
the
past,
as
shown
in
the
movie.
Moreover,
he
also
feels
that
he
couldn't
have
done
justice
to
the
character
like
Dulquer
Salmaan
did.
Meanwhile,
Fahadh
Faasil
is
having
a
good
outing
in
Mollywood,
with
his
recent
release
Take
Off
fetching
extremely
good
reviews.
