FLASHBACK: When Manju Warrier Was Saved By Manoj K Jayan!

Popular actress Manju Warrier made her debut as a leading lady with the film Sallapam, directed by Sundar Das, which was a super hit at the box office. Manju Warrier's portrayal of the character Radha in the film, was much appreciated by the audiences.

Apart from Manju Warrier, the film scripted by Lohithadas, also had Manoj K Jayan and Dileep in the lead roles. In a recent television programme Manju Warrier opened up about a real scary incident that happened during the shoot of the movie.

It was during the talk show Onnum Onnum Moonu aired on Mazhavil Manorama, that Manju Warrier talked about the same. During the filming of the climax sequence of Sallapam, the actress narrowly escaped from getting killed.

The climax sequence had the actress rushing towards a fast moving train to attempt suicide. The train was fast approaching, but the actress who got too involved in the scene forgot to move aside on time. Finally, it was Manoj K Jayan who pushed her back with all force and saved her life. Manju Warrier also stated that she will always be indebted to Manoj K Jayan for saving her life.
