FLASHBACK! Here Is What Mammootty Said After Watching Jayasurya's Lukka Chuppi!

There is a unique quality that makes Mammootty different from the other stars. Mammootty is one such actor who never shies away from appreciating the works of other actors and it is known to many that he makes it a point to watch all quality Malayalam films.

Recently, in the interview programme I Me Myself in Manorama Online, actor Jayasurya opened up about an incident when Mammootty called him up after watching one of the Jayasurya movies.

The movie in consideration is Lukka Chuppi, directed by Bash Mohammed, which was released in the year 2015. According to Jayasurya, after watching the movie Mammootty called him up and opined that it's a brilliant movie with brilliant performances but a very bad title.

Lukka Chuppi won wide critical acclaim upon its release, but the movie couldn't make it big at the Kerala box office. In the interview programme, Jayasurya was talking about one of the reasons for the failure of the movie and he cited that the title Lukka Chuppi didn't connect well with the audiences.

Well, Lukka Chuppi was definitely a grand attempt and the fact that the film impressed a great actor like Mammootty, underlines that fact.
