Utsavam
2017,

held
at
Hyderabad
on
March
28
and
March
29
to
honour
the
talents
of
South
Indian
cinema,
who
created
the
maximum
impact
in
the
past
year.
Awards
were
given
for
talents
from
the
film
industries
of
four
different
languages
namely
Tamil,
Malayalam,
Kannada
and
Telugu.

the
Malayalam,

Salmaan
and
actress
Rajisha
Vijayan

the

who
bagged
the

Dulquer
Salmaan,

the

couldn't
make
it
to
the
award
ceremony
as
he
was
busy
with
the
shoot
of
his
upcoming

Rajisha
Vijayan
(Anuraga
Karikkin
Vellam)
Rajisha
Vijayan,
who
impressed
one

with
her
portrayal

the
character
Eli,

the

adjudged
the
Best
Actress.
This
is
the
second
major
title
that
the
actress

receiving,

Prakatt
(Charlie)
Martin
Prakatt,
the
man
behind
the
movie
Charlie,
which
has
earned
a
cult
status,
won
the
Best
Director
title.
The
3-film-old
director
packaged
Charlie
in
a
brilliant
fashion
and
he
even
won
the
Best
Director
title
at
the
Kerala
State
Film
Awards.

Supporting
Actor
–
Vinayakan
(Kammatipaadam)
Actor
Vinayakan
did
stun
the
entire
Malayalam
film
audiences,
with
his
performance
as
Ganga
in
the
film
Kammatipaadam,
which
had
Dulquer
Salmaan
in
the
lead
role.
The
actor
was
awarded
the
title
of
the
Best
Supporting
Actor
at
IIFA
Utsavam
2017.
