Mammootty & Raai Laxmi Back Together?

Mammootty, the megastar of Mollywood is joining hands with scriptwriter Sethu for his directorial debut, Kozhi Thankachan. If the reports are to be believed, Raai Laxmi, the popular actress is making a comeback to Mollywood, with the movie.

As per the latest reports, Raai Laxmi will appear as the female lead opposite Mammootty in the movie, which is said to be a feel-good entertainer. Thus, Kozhi Thankachan will mark the fifth association of Mammootty-Raai Laxmi duo.

Reportedly, the actress is appearing as one of the three female leads in the movie, which features the megastar in the titular character Thankachan. Anu Sithara is appearing as another leading lady in the Mammootty-Sethu project.

Mammootty and Raai Laxmi first joined hands for the Anwar Rasheed movie Annan Thambi, which was a blockbuster. The actress later teamed up with Mammootty for three more movies, including Parunthu, Chattambinadu, and Rajadhiraja.

Kozhi Thankachan, which is scripted by director Sethu himself, will feature Mammootty in the role of a middle-aged rural man, who hails from a village in Kuttanad. Reportedly, Deepthi Sati has been approached to play the third female lead in the movie.
