Mammootty & Dileep Back Together For Priyadarshan's Next?

Many speculations are doing the rounds regarding Priyadarshan's next venture in Malayalam. Earlier, rumours were rife that Mammootty will be seen essaying the lead role in one of the upcoming ventures of the director.

Now, reports are doing the rounds that Mammootty and Dileep would be seen together on screen, yet again, through the upcoming venture of Priyadarshan. Reportedly, both the actors would be seen playing equally important roles in the film.

No official confirmation has been made regarding the same. Interestingly, Priyadarshan have directed both Mammootty and Dileep in the past.

If such a project happens, the film would mark the reunion of the Megham team. Yes, the 1999 movie, Megham, directed by Priyadarshan did feature Mammootty in the lead role. Dileep also played an important role in the movie.

Meanwhile, Mammootty and Dileep have acted together in 5 movies so far (including Megham). Here, we take you through the other films in which Mammootty and Dileep shared the screenspace. (Excluding Twenty-20 in which there wasn't any combination sequence for the actors).

Sainyam (1994)

This film, directed by Joshiy had a real big team behind it. The film, which featured Mammootty in the lead role as Captain AJ Eashwar, was first of its kind in Malayalam cinema. Dileep, back then was a newcomer and he played the role of a cadet in the film.

Kaliyoonjal (1997)

Kaliyoonjal, directed by Anil Babu was a family drama high on emotional quotient. Mammootty, Dileep, Shobana, Shalini etc., played important roles in the movie. Mammootty played the role of an IAS officer named Nandagopalan whereas Dileep got to play the role of his brother-in-law, named Venu.

Kammath & Kammath (2013)

After a long time, the Malayalam film audiences got to see both Mammootty and Dileep back together on screen, with Kammath & Kammath, directed by Thomson K Thomas. In this film, both the actors played equally important roles as brothers, who are in to the hotel business. The chemistry between the actors worked out well in the movie.

Kadal Kadannoru Maathukutty (2013)

Here is another film in which we got to see both the actors together. In this Mammootty starrer, directed by Ranjith, Dileep appeared as himself and did a special cameo.

Well, we will have to wait a bit more to see the duo once again on screen. Let us hope that the news regarding their union for a Priyadarshan movie turns out to be true.
