projects

Puthan
Panam
was
originally
expected
to
be
released
in
May
2017.
However,
as
per
the
latest
updates,
the
Mammootty
movie
might
get
released
early.
According
to
some
unconfirmed
reports,
the
makers
have
decided
to
prepone
the
release
of
Puthan
Panam
to
April
2017,
immediately
after
Vishu.
Reportedly,
the
team
feel
that
releasing
Puthan
Panam
exactly
a
month
after
the
release
of
Mammootty's
highly
anticipated
movie,
The
Great
Father.
So,
if
things
fall
in
place,
the
Mammootty-Ranjith
project
will
get
released
by
April
last
week.
Puthan
Panam,
which
marks
the
seventh
collaboration
of
Mammootty-Ranjith
duo,
features
the
actor
in
the
role
of
Nithyananda
Shenoy,
a
middle-aged
businessman
who
hails
from
Kumbala
of
Kasargode
district
and
migrates
to
Kochi.
Mammootty
appears
in
a
different
get-up
in
the
movie,
with
salt
n
pepper
hairstyle,
silk
shirt,
and
golden
accessories.
As
per
the
reports,
the
megastar,
who
is
well-known
for
his
command
over
dialects,
will
be
using
Kasargode
slang
in
the
movie.
The
movie
will
feature
Master
Suraj,
Renji
Panicker,
Mamukoya,
Siddique,
Saikumar,
Abu
Salim,
Ganapathi,
Sheelu
Abraham,
Ineya,
etc.,
in
the
supporting
roles.
