Mammootty's 'Biriyani Treat' Turns 100!

Mammootty, the megastar of Mollywood, follows an interesting custom, which is unknown to most of his fans. The actor has been serving biriyani to the entire cast and crew of his each film, since 1998.

Recently, Mammootty completed his 100th biriyani treat, on the sets of the upcoming Ranjith movie Puthan Panam. The megastar served special mutton biriyani to the team consists of about 150 members.

The biriyani was specially prepared on the sets of the movie in Calicut by Abdu, the owner of Taliparamba Palace Kitchen Caterers. Abdu specially invited by Mammootty himself, for this delicious treat.

Interestingly, the megastar started this custom for his dear friend Mohanlal, during the filming of the 1998-released movie Harikrishnans. Mammootty, who is a huge fan of 'pothichoru' got it to the sets one day, for lunch.

Mohanlal, who is a big-time foodie, immediately snatched the packet from the megastar. Next day, Mammootty got 'pothichoru' for both him and Mohanlal. Later, he started bringing food for the entire team members.

From his next film set, the actor decided that he will give a special biriyani treat to the entire team members. Mammootty has been following this custom from the past 19 years, and finally completed his 100th treat.
