Mammootty,
the
megastar
of
Mollywood
is
joining
hands
with
film-maker
Ranjith
once
again,
for
the
upcoming
movie
Puthan
Panam.
The
movie,
which
is
said
to
be
an
action
thriller,
was
initially
supposed
to
be
released
in
April.
But
now,
the
team
has
postponed
the
release
of
Puthan
Panam
to
May.
Recently,
the
sources
close
to
the
Mammootty
project
confirmed
that
the
makers
have
finalised
May
12
as
the
release
date
of
the
movie.
If
the
reports
are
to
be
believed,
Puthan
Panam
has
been
postponed
to
May,
as
Mammootty's
The
Great
Father
is
hitting
the
theatres
on
March
30.
Reportedly,
the
makers
want
to
avoid
the
competition
with
another
Mammootty
project.
Puthan
Panam,
which
is
scripted
by
director
Ranjith
himself,
stars
Mammootty
as
the
central
character
Nithyananda
Shenoy,
a
rich,
middle-aged
businessman
who
hails
from
Kumbala,
of
Kasargode
district.
Interestingly,
Mammootty
will
be
using
pure
Kasargode
dialect
in
the
movie.
The
megastar's
is
also
sporting
a
very
different
get-up
in
Puthan
Panam,
with
salt
n
pepper
hairstyle,
silk
shirt,
and
golden
watch.
Om
Prakash
is
the
director
of
photography.
Singer-musician
Shahabaz
Aman
composes
the
songs
and
background
score.
Puthan
Panam
is
produced
by
Ranjith,
Abraham
Mathew,
and
Arun
Narayanan
