Mammootty's Raja 2: Here Is A New Update!

Mammootty, the megastar is all set to join hands with hitmaker Vysakh once again, for the sequel of their blockbuster movie Pokkiri Raja. The movie, which has been titled as Raja 2, is one of the most awaited upcoming projects of Mollywood.

According to the latest reports, the team is planning to release Raja 2 as Mammootty's Vishu special release in 2018. The highly anticipated movie is expected to start rolling by the end of 201 after the actor completes his current projects.

Reportedly, Raja 2 is not a continuation of Pokkiri Raja but deals with a totally different episode in the life of the titular character Raja. Prithviraj, who appeared as one of the two male leads in Pokkiri Raja, will not be a part of the sequel.

Initially, Raja 2 was supposed to be produced by Tomichan Mulakupadam for Mulakupadam Films. But later, the Pulimurugan fame producer backed out from the project citing creative differences with director Vysakh as the reason.

Reportedly, director Vysakh is planning to produce the film himself, along with Udayakrishna, the scriptwriter of the movie. However, the reports are yet to be officially confirmed. The team is expected to announce rest of the star cast and further details, soon.
