Well, actor Suresh Gopi, who has acted in the maximum number of Shaji Kailas movies was reportedly, the first choice of the film-maker for the role of a lawyer in Narasimham, who comes out to save his friend's father from a case.
What Paved Way For Mammootty's Entry?
But, the film's lead actor Mohanlal and the movie's scriptwriter Ranjith, felt that Mammootty, who has excelled in lawyer roles and is in advocate in real-life as well, shall be the perfect choice for this role and that paved way for Megastar's entry to the movie.

As a result, the audiences once again got to witness Mammootty and Mohanlal, together on screen. Mammootty's stunning court scene was one of the high points of this movie and he made Nandagopal Marar, a character worth remembering.

Interestingly, later there were rumours doing the rounds that Shaji Kailas was planning to do a film with Mammootty, with the actor reprising the role of Nandagopal Marar. But later, no progress regarding the same was reported.
