Aami,

biopic

senior
film-maker
Kamal
has
finally
got
its
leading
lady.
As
per
the
latest
reports,
the
team
has
roped
in
Manju
Warrier
to
play
the
central
character
in
Aami.
Director
Kamal
confirmed
the
news
in
the
recent
interview
given
to
a
leading
online
portal.
According
to
the
film-maker,
Manju
Warrier
readily
agreed
to
do
the
project
and
signed
the
movie
a
few
days
back.
Reportedly,
the
crew
is
planning
to
film
the
movie
in
two
schedules.
Kamal
and
team
will
film
the
portions
revolves
around
Kamala
Surayya's
40's
in
the
first
schedule,
which
will
go
on
floors
in
March
2017.
The
second
schedule,
which
mainly
focuses
on
Kamala
Surayya's
life
post-middle-age,
is
expected
to
begin
in
May
2017.
As
per
the
sources,
Manju
will
undergo
a
drastic
physical
transformation
for
her
role.
Earlier,
Bollywood
actress
Vidya
Balan
was
roped
in
to
play
Kamala
Surayya
in
the
movie,
But,
Vidya
backed
out
from
the
project
at
the
last
minute,
citing
creative
differences
as
the
reason.
Later,
it
was
rumoured
that
Tabu
and
Parvathy
Jayaram
have
been
considered
for
the
movie.
But
director
Kamal
slammed
the
reports,
and
confirmed
that
the
actresses
are
not
approached
for
Aami.
