Manju Warrier's Aami: Anoop Menon's First Look Is Out!

Anoop Menon, the actor-writer finally revealed his new look, for the upcoming Manju Warrier starrer Aami. Anoop revealed his first look picture and a few details about his role in the movie, through his official Facebook page recently.

Interestingly, the talented actor is essaying the role of Zaheer Ali in Aami, which is written and directed by senior film-maker Kamal. Anoop Menon looks simply different in his retro look, with woollen cap, kohled eyes, and spectacles.

Reportedly, the actor is playing a performance-oriented role in Aami, which is one of the most awaited projects of the year. Anoop, who is all excited about the project, stated that it is a brilliantly written biopic which is shaping itself into a classic.

Manju Warrier is essaying the titular character Aami aka Kamala Surayya in the movie, which is based on the life of the veteran writer. Vidya Balan was the original choice for the role, but she backed out later due to creative differences with the team.

Murali Gopy, the actor-writer appears as Kamala Das's husband Madhavadas, in the movie. If the reports are to be believed, Prithviraj will also make a brief appearance in Aami. The movie is produced by the banner Reel & Real Cinema.
