Manju Warrier's Aami: Murali Gopy's First Look Is Out!

Aami, the Kamala Surayya biopic which features Manju Warrier in the titular role, is one of the most awaited Malayalam projects of the year. The first schedule of the movie, which is directed by Kamal, was recently wrapped up.

Murali Gopy is appearing in the role of Kamala Surayya's husband Madhavadas in the movie. The actor-writer recently revealed his first look from Aami through his official Facebook page, to the much excitement of his fans.

The actor-writer is appearing in a retro look in the picture with round glasses and is seen in front of a writing table with a typewriter. Murali Gopy also shared his excitement about working with director Kamal once again, through the post.

Vidya Balan, the National award-winner was the initial choice for the role of Kamala Surayya, in Aami. But Vidya backed off from the Kamal-directed project, due to creative differences with the director.

Later, the team went on to rope in Manju Warrier for the role of Kamala Surayya. As per the sources close to the project, the actress is planning to gain a few extra kilos, for the portions which feature Kamala's old age.
