In a recent interview, actor Mohanlal confirmed that the much awaited project Randamoozham is still on the cards. Pulimurugan Completes 100 Days Of Run
Mohanlal starrer Pulimurugan, which emerged as an all-time blockbuster of Malayalam film industry has completed its 100 days of run in the theatres in Kerala on January 14, 2016. The film that released on October 7, 2016 is still managing to draw the crowds to the theatres.
Vidya Balan Backs Out Of Aami
Vidya Balan, who was supposed to play the lead role in Kamal's biopic on Kamala Das, has backed out of the project. The official confirmation was made regarding the same. But, the director has made it clear that he will be going forward with the project.
Mohanlal-Priyadarshan Team's Upcoming Big Budget Venture
Mohanlal has a slew of big budget projects in his kitty and here is another film to add to that list. If reports are to be believed, Priyadarshan's next film with Mohanlal will be a big budget venture and would be made with a budget of close to 35 Crores. Art director Sabu Cyril has been roped in for the works of the movie.
Mohanlal Wins A Major Award
The year 2016 completely belonged to Mohanlal and a big award came on his way, which further underlined that fact. The actor won the title of Manorama Newsmaker of the year 2016, conducted by Malayala Manorama. The actor won the exit poll and did beat many prominent personalities.
Nivin Pauly To Team Up With Geethu Mohandas For Moothon
This came as a big surprise to the Malayalam cinema audiences. Geethu Mohandas, who made an impressive debut as a film-maker with the critically acclaimed movie Liar's Dice is all set with her next venture. The actress-turned-director has roped in Nivin Pauly for her next film, which has been titled as Moothon. Nivin Pauly will be seen in an all new avatar in this movie.
Kunchacko Boban And Sugeeth Are Back Together
Kunchacko Boban-Sugeeth team, which gave us the blockbuster Ordinary and memorable film Madhuranaranga, would soon team up for an upcoming film. The film, which will be in the lines of an entertainer will also feature actor Vinayakan in an important role. Nishad Koya, who had penned Ordinary, will handle the scripting department of the movie.
With the theatre strike coming to an end, all eyes are on the upcoming Malayalam movie releases. According to the latest reports Dulquer Salmaan starrer Jomonte Suvisheshangal would be hitting the theatres on January 19, 2016.
Mohanlal's Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol will also be making it to the theatres this week as the makers have announced the release date as December 20, 2016.
Meanwhile, Vijay's latest film Bairavaa has taken over majority of the theatres in Kerala. The film, which released in close to 150 theatres in Kerala has taken a grand opening at the Kerala box office.
