WOW! Mohanlal Was Considered For Aamir Khan's Role In Dangal

Dangal, the recent Bollywood flick has already emerged as the highest of ever grosser of Indian cinema. Divya Rao, the creative producer of UTV Motion Pictures revealed an interesting fact about the movie in a recent interview.

Along with Aamir Khan, Mohanlal was also considered for the role of Mahavir Singh Phogat in the movie. According to Divya, the UTV team was planning to approach Mohanlal or Kamal Haasan, if Aamir turns down the offer.

The team felt that Mohanlal would make a great choice for the role if Aamir turns down the offer. As we all know, the complete actor is also a wrestler in real life and had won the Kerala state wrestling championship of 1977-78.

Well, Mohanlal would have been an excellent choice for the role of an aged wrestler, who turns a coach to his daughters. If there is any plan to remake Dangal in Malayalam or Tamil, we are sure Mohanlal can definitely do justice to the role.

Mohanlal is highly popular for his deep interest in action-based films. The actor has astonished the audience through his fight sequences; especially the legendary sword-fight sequence in Iruvar and the action scenes from his recent blockbuster Pulimurugan.
