Mohanlal's most recent release Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol, which hit the overseas market on February 17, 2017, is having a dream run out there, as well.
Especially in the UK box office, the film is racing ahead with the film receiving a grand reception. Reportedly, the film has edged past the lifetime collection of super hit movies like Oppam, Two Countries, Drishyam, Jacobinte Swargarajyam, Premam etc., in the first weekend itself.
P J Entertainments, through which the film has been distributed in UK theatres, confirmed through their Facebook page that Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol has crossed EUR 100,000 mark within 4 days of its release.
Mohanlal's previous big release Pulimurugan holds the record for the top grossing Malayalam movie at the UK box office. The film, did go on to fetch above EUR 200,000 at the UK box office.
Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol has already crossed the half-way mark within 4 days in run and now in all probabilities, the movie will break the record set by Pulimurugan as well, to become the top grossing Malayalam movie at the UK box office.
Meanwhile, the film is doing a steady business in Kerala, despite the release of new movies. The worldwide box office collection of the movie has crossed the 30-Crore mark.
