Pulimurugan, the Mohanlal movie had created history by emerging as the first Malayalam movie to enter the 100-Crore club of Indian film industry. Now, Pulimurugan has set a new record by getting a grand release in 3D format.
Interestingly, the 3D version of the all-time blockbuster was also widely received by both the Mohanlal fans and movie lovers. Pulimurugan 3D has also been performing extremely well at the Kerala box office, even though it is a re-released movie.
Pulimurugan 3D, which was re-released in about 60 theatres has made a decent opening at the Kerala box office. The Mohanlal starrer made a total gross collection of Rs. 19 Lakhs, which is a highly impressive figure for a re-released movie.
When it completed the first two days of its release, Pulimurugan 3D went on to make a total gross collection of Rs. 47 Lakhs. The collections have increased on the second day of release, thanks to the positive reviews received by the 3D version.
Pulimurugan, which is directed by Vysakh and written by Udayakrishna, features Mohanlal in the titular role Murugan. Renowned action choreographer Peter Hein made his Mollywood debut with the movie, which is produced by Tomichan Mulakupadam.
