Puthan Panam, the recently released Mammootty movie is all set to enter the third week of its release. The social drama, which is written and directed by Ranjith, has been delivering an average performance at the box ofifce.
When it completed the first 15 days of its release, Puthan Panam has made a total gross collection of Rs. 7.36 Crores from the Kerala box office. The movie failed to cross the 10-Crore marks, as expected earlier.
Puthan Panam, which was released on a working day, made a decent opening at the box office, by making an initial collection of 1.87 Crores. It was strictly an average opening for a Mammootty-Ranjith movie.
According to the reports from trade experts, Puthan Panam has collected 4.57 Crores within the first 4 days of its theatrical run. The movie made a total collection of 6.48 Crores from the Kerala box office, within the first 10 days of its release.
The trade analysts suggest that the rushed release and lack of good marketing have badly affected the box office performance of Puthan Panam. If things follow at the same rate, the Mammootty starrer will soon be removed from the existing screens as well.
